Ceiling lifts for transfers within a room
A ceiling lift does the lifting that two people would otherwise do by hand. It carries a person in a sling along a track fixed to the ceiling — bed to chair, chair to bathroom — within a room, safely for both of you. We install ceiling track lifts across Louisiana and Alabama.

Our own crew, with over 700 installs and more than 70 years in the trade.
What a ceiling lift is for
A ceiling lift is a motor that rides an overhead track with a sling that supports a person underneath it. It takes the weight of a transfer off a caregiver's back and moves a person between two points in a room — nothing on the floor to steer around the furniture. The track fixes to the ceiling, so it's out of the way when it isn't in use.

The model: Mackworth TX600
We install the Mackworth TX600. It travels the track, raises and lowers on a powered strap, and it's built for the everyday transfers a caregiver would otherwise do by hand.
At a glance
- Drive / power: a rechargeable, battery-powered 24 V motor that rides the ceiling track and raises and lowers on a strap. Two 12 V 5.0 Ah sealed batteries charge at a dock built into the track end, from a standard wall outlet; a charge gives about 35 lifts at 600 lb, 60 at 440 lb or 120 at 220 lb.
- Where it fits: a track fixed to the ceiling over the path a person is transferred along — most often a bedroom or a bed-to-bath route.
- Track: a fixed straight ceiling track for a set path, in single, mid-duty and heavy-duty aluminum profiles; manual or powered turntables can join tracks for room-to-room routes, depending on the layout.
- Capacity: 600 lb, supporting a person in a sling for transfers, with a lifting range of 78.74 in.
- Warranty: we provide one year of repair labor, plus the manufacturer's five-year warranty on the lift and track; batteries, lift tapes and slings carry 12 months.

Common questions
- Does it need special ceiling work?
- The track fastens to the structure overhead. We check that your ceiling can carry it, and tell you what your room needs, in the quote.
- Can it move a person between rooms?
- Sometimes, depending on the layout. Tell us the route and we'll tell you whether it can be done.
