Terms and conditions
This site is run by Gulf South Elevator Corp, a Louisiana corporation doing business as Gulf South Elevator. These terms apply when you use gulfsouthelevator.com, download a guide, or send us a request through the site. By using the site you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use the site.
What this site is, and what it isn't
The site tells you what we install, how we work, roughly what things cost, and where help paying for it may come from. It's meant to help you plan and to help you decide whether to call us. It isn't an offer, a quote, or a contract.
The only price that binds us is the price in a written quote we give you for your home, after we've seen it. The same goes for timing, warranty terms, and what's included in the work. If anything on this site differs from your written quote or installation agreement, the quote or agreement governs.
Keeping the information current, and where it may be wrong
We work to keep this site accurate, and we correct it when we learn something has changed. Even so, some of what's here will be out of date at any given moment, and some of it may be wrong. That's the nature of a site about equipment, prices, and programs that change on their own schedules. In particular:
- Prices and timing are approximate. Every price range on the site is an installed range across many homes, and every lead time is typical rather than promised. Your price and your timeline are the ones in your written quote.
- Product details come from the manufacturers. Capacities, dimensions, travel, power, options, and parts-warranty terms are stated by each manufacturer for its own equipment. Manufacturers change models and specifications, sometimes without notice. The specifications that apply to your installation are the ones in the manufacturer's current documents for the equipment named in your quote.
- Funding programs belong to the programs. The programs described in our guides and on our paying page are run by government agencies, nonprofits, insurers, and lenders that set their own rules and change them. Where we give a "last checked" date, that's the date we last read the program's own published information, and it's the most you should take from it. Who qualifies, what a program covers, and when it pays are the program's decisions, and only the program can tell you.
- Codes and permits are decided locally. What your parish or county requires, and what an inspector will accept, is determined for your job by the authority that has jurisdiction over it, not by anything on this site.
- Third-party information can change or disappear. Phone numbers, office addresses, forms, and web pages we point to are those parties' own and may move or close.
Before you rely on anything here, confirm it with us in writing, or with the manufacturer, program, or authority the information came from. To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't responsible for loss or harm that comes from relying on information on this site that turns out to be incomplete, inaccurate, or out of date.
If you find something on the site you believe is wrong, we'd like to know. Write to the Site Administrator at admin@gulfsouthelevator.com.
Not professional advice
Nothing on this site is medical, legal, tax, financial, or insurance advice, and nothing here is a determination of what your situation requires. Our funding guide describes programs in general terms so you know they exist and how to approach them. Whether a program, a tax rule, an insurance benefit, or a loan fits you is a question for the program, your tax professional, your insurer, your lender, or your attorney.
Quotes, agreements, and warranties
A quote is our offer for a specific installation at a specific home, and it says how long it's good for. Work begins under a written installation agreement, and that agreement, together with the quote, sets the price, the timeline, what's included, and the warranty terms for your job. These website terms don't change any of that.
Warranty coverage is stated in writing for each installation. Our labor warranty is ours; parts warranties are the manufacturer's and are administered under the manufacturer's terms.
Third-party sites, products, and lenders
The site links to manufacturers, government agencies, nonprofits, and other organizations, and it names the lender we work with for financing. Those links and names are for your convenience. We don't control those sites or organizations, we don't endorse what they publish, and their terms and privacy practices, not ours, apply when you deal with them. Financing terms are set by the lender and are between you and the lender.
Requests you send us
When you ask for a quote, request a guide, or contact us through the site, we'll use what you send to respond to you, as described in our privacy policy. Calls to the phone numbers on this site may be recorded for quality and training. Please don't send information you don't want us to have, and don't use the site's forms for anything urgent. If a lift has stopped with someone in it, or there's any danger to a person, call emergency services first, then call us.
Quotes are prepared for the person who asks and the home they describe. If you're asking on behalf of a family member, tell us, and we'll work with both of you.

Using the site
You may use the site, and print or save its pages and guides, for your own planning, to share with your family or the people helping you decide, and to give to a program, agency, or lender you're applying to. Please don't copy our content into another site or publication, use it to sell anything, or present it as your own. Don't try to interfere with the site, probe it for weaknesses, scrape it, or send anything through its forms that's unlawful, harmful, or not yours to send.
The text, layout, and photography of our own work on this site belong to Gulf South Elevator, and the Gulf South Elevator name and logo are ours. Product photographs, specifications, and manufacturer names and logos belong to the manufacturers and are used with their permission. Nothing on the site gives you a license to any of them beyond the personal use described above.
Disclaimers and limits on liability
The site and everything on it are provided as they are and as available. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises about the site itself: that it will be accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that it will suit any particular purpose.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Gulf South Elevator Corp, its officers, employees, and contractors aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or any loss of profit, savings, or opportunity, arising from your use of the site, your reliance on its content, or your dealings with any third party the site refers to, however the claim is framed.
Some laws don't allow certain disclaimers or limits. Where that's true, these terms limit our responsibility only as far as that law permits, and nothing here takes away rights you have as a consumer that can't be waived. None of this section applies to the work we do for you under a written installation agreement; that work is covered by the agreement and its warranty.
Louisiana law
These terms and your use of the site are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute about the site or these terms will be brought in the state or federal courts serving St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana, and you agree to their jurisdiction. If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date, and your use of the site after that date means you accept the change.
