Harmar Highlander 2 platform lift, Amite City

Harmar Highlander 2 vertical platform lift · Amite City, Louisiana · 2025

Beige platform lift tower beside the block piers of a raised log house, with the platform raised to the deck above — Installed by Kendall and Carl, before Gulf South Elevator was formed.

A Harmar Highlander 2 at a raised house in Amite City, put in while the house was still being built. The house stands on block piers well above the slab, so the lift tower runs from the concrete up to the deck.

The platform carries a wheelchair and its rider from the slab to a gate set into the deck railing.
